The Area The Area

We are situated in the beautiful north Pembrokeshire countryside on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park and overlooking the Preseli Hills which are reputedly the source of the Stonehenge Bluestones. Pembrokeshire is also home to Britain's only coastal National Park and this is only 10 minutes drive away. Visitors are attracted to the tranquil beauty of the countryside and can walk some of the 186 miles of the clifftop Coastal Path. It is an excellent location for birdwatching.

Landscape Landscape

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park displays a greater variety of geological features and associated landforms than any equivalent area of the same size in the British Isles. The coastal scenery was the prime reason for the National Park's designation.

History

Wild Flowers Wild Flowers

Pembrokeshire is famous for its range of wild flowers and plants. There are a wide variety of flowers to be discovered, not only on the Coastal Path but also along the quiet lanes. Spring is probably the best time to visit for primroses in the Welsh countryside and sea thrift on the clifftops and in Autumn the hills are covered with gorse and heather.

Mammals Mammals

Mammals are seen in great variety from dolphins and seals in the bays while signs of badgers and foxes can be seen in most parts (including this one in our garden!).

Beaches Beaches

Pembrokeshire has the best beaches in the UK with more seaside awards than any other county.
