Groups are welcome by prior arrangement
As the business is run by just the two of us, it is helpful to us if group bookings are arranged for the days on which we are normally closed to the general public. For 2006 these days are Mondays and Tuesdays. This means the group will have exclusive use of the garden and it will allow us to give you our undivided attention. However, if these days are not suitable we can come to some arrangement if necessary.

Tea Room Capacity
It is cosy and can seat a maximum of 18 persons at any one time. For larger group bookings we ask that guests operate a shift system whereby visits to the Tea Room are staggered. It would be helpful if visitors were advised of this and agreement reached between them as to the order of visit to the Tea Room prior to getting off the coach. In fine weather the seating capacity can be slightly increased by additional seating outside on the patio.

Our Tea Room Service
Under normal circumstances we operate individual table, waiter service. However, we find that this can become unwieldy when serving large groups all at once, and to cope with the time constraints of the visiting party we think that operating a ‘counter service’ at a ‘set price’ is more efficient. This will also enable people to spend more time looking round the gardens.
This service consists of a choice of beverage and a choice of confectionery at a set price of £2.50 per head or £1.00 per head for those who only want a drink.
We offer a selection of teas, filter coffee, fruit juices and fizzy drinks. To eat there are homemade cakes, scones, welsh cakes, and ice cream. If people have special dietary needs, these need to be notified to us in advance.
Charges and Payment
Admission charge to the gardens for group bookings is £3.00 per person. The garden tour is self guided and a plan is available for this purpose.
Group rates for refreshments and admission fees represent a discount on our normal charges. In respect of the garden admission charge, it would be preferred if this could be paid in one lump sum by the tour organiser (i.e. £3.00 x the number of visitors). Payment for refreshments can be made individually by guests according to what they order.
It is customary for us to provide complimentary refreshments to the coach driver.
Unfortunately we can only accept payment by cash or cheque.
