With parts dating back to the 16th century, the Cottage is single storey, split-level, and provides cosy accommodation attached to the owners’ farmhouse. The cottage is well equipped and furnished to a high standard and is fully doubled glazed for your comfort. So you can experience all the charm whilst still having "all mod cons". It has its own private entrance and its own off-road car parking space at the side of the property and ample space at the nearby roadside front.
Our cosy holiday cottage is perfect for a couple. It makes a delightful base for a range of activities with the Preseli Hills just a few minutes’ drive away where you can walk and explore the site of origin of the sacred Bluestones of Stonehenge. The Coastal Path and beaches are a 10-minute drive away.
Cottage guests can avail themselves of our garden delights at all times. The aim at Bro Meigan is to provide a peaceful haven where visitors are able to leave the 21st Century behind and contemplate the bounty that Mother Nature has to offer and it will appeal to gardeners, artists, photographers, birdwatchers, and wildlife enthusiasts.
The sitting room contains a comfortable 3-seater sofa, colour flatscreen digital TV with Freeview, DVD player, and a large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove. Several stairs lead from the sitting room up to the kitchen. We have free Wi-Fi Internet access.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. It has a modern electric cooker with ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and a breakfast table and chairs. For your convenience we supply basic condiments, washing up liquid, panscrubs, etc.
The bedroom has a sumptuously comfortable King Size bed with a duvet and white cotton bed linen. There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and dressing table. We also provide a radio, alarm clock, and a hairdryer.
The modern en suite bathroom has a full sized bath, wash hand basin, and WC and a separate shower cubicle with electric shower. Towels are provided.
In addition, there is a rear hallway and cloakroom with a separate WC and sink.
Electricity is included in the rental and night storage heaters when required provide heating. Logs for the woodburner are provided free of charge.
Outside furniture (patio table and chairs, reclining loungers, BBQ, etc.) is available to enable guests to take advantage of the beautiful views of the garden and Preseli Hills beyond. Please note that there is no view over the garden from the inside of the Cottage.
This is the view from the bedroom window and the seating area next to the cottage with spectacular views of the hills:
Cwtch (it is pronounced “kutch”) is the Welsh word for a small cosy place, a snug, a hideaway: somewhere to rest and relax. Although you can’t look out over the garden from inside the cottage, just a few steps away you have this lovely garden room at the end of a 300 year old stone barn/cowshed. This comfortably furnished and peaceful place to relax looks out over the garden with a view to the hills. It is a delightful place to sit and read, play a board game (we have lots), have a cup of tea or a glass of wine or even breakfast whilst listening to the birdsong.
"Cwtch" also has another meaning. It is cuddle. So why not come and cwtch up with each other in the cwtch?!
