In total, Pembrokeshire has 9 Blue flag beaches making it one of the cleanest holiday destinations in the U.K. With more than 50 beaches to choose from, it’s not surprising that Pembrokeshire beaches are picked for ‘best beach’ competitions every year. Favourite choices are Tenby’s three blue flag beaches, the incredible Barafundle Bay, appropriately named Whitesands and the enigmatic Poppit sands. Pembrokeshire was awarded 11 Blue Flags and 32 Seaside Awards in 2005. No other UK County has more!
